New banjos mean new blog title

I just realized that "high speed" is a slower way to say "fast," so the blog is now called "Fast." Two years and five months to notice that...maybe I should have renamed it to "dumbass."

Anyway, the wife and I now both have nicer banjos. They're great and hers didn't end up coming from Guitar Center after all. Instead, we chose to purchase it from some stranger on the internet. Then last weekend we couldn't find the serial number and it was all quite entertaining (in retrospect), after Stu at The Folkstore found it.

She's out of town, and since she's left I have done the following:

  1. Worked.

  2. Read a copy of Forbes. Not too bad, and better than passing time mind-numbingly by reading PC Magazine. I'm all geeked out right now as far as gadgets.

  3. Read Warren Buffett's letter to shareholders in Berkshire Hathaway's annual report. Highly recommended if you are a super genius, interested in finance, or bored.

  4. Reflected on my life. My priorities (at least for the next week or so) are:

    1. Enjoy life. This includes family and friends and having a constant life of learning.

    2. Be at a great level of health. I was about to say "as healthy as possible," but saying "it's a priority to be as healthy as possible" or "I'll do that as soon as possible" is vague, meaningless, and pretty much useless.

Wait, this means I should be at the gym right now! Oh, on second thought, it's closed, isn't it?

      Whew.

    3. Get super rich by contributing as much value to the world as I can, in exchange for cash. Or reluctantly, I'll settle for fame or love or some crap like that.

  5. Where were we? Ok back to reality. Priorities in mind, I watched Smallville. No Lana in this episode, so the enjoyment suffered a bit.

  6. Read some more of Getting to Yes, which is an awesome book.

I have not left the house.

The title "High Speed" was much better. I've always mentally added "Low Drag" to it, as in "High speed, low drag." I'm not sure where I picked up that phrase.

"Fast" may be a faster way to say it, but it lacks... something.

Your new tagline, however, is very cool, if I do say so myself.
