Philosophical Differences

I had a short conversation with my doctor this week.

Foucher: I would like to have tests to measure my risk of heart disease.

Doctor: OK, we'll do cholesterol and triglycerides.

Foucher: What about homocysteine?

Doctor: You don't need that. You're not experiencing any chest pain.

It's clear we have some philosophical differences here. Chest pain seems like too late to work on prevention. Time to find a new doctor.

Excellent point. I think family history should be enough to raise alarms.
